Lawyer Dejan Vasic confirmed for Kosovo Online that the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo filed an indictment against Sladjan Trajkovic today for an alleged war crime.

Vasic says that tomorrow he will receive the indictment from the Special Court in Pristina, as well as the files from the special prosecutor.

"After that, finally, after nine months of investigation, we will be able to familiarize ourselves with the concrete content of the collected evidence. In the indictment, the prosecutor should also state her opinion regarding the extension of judicial custody," Vasic tells us.

The Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo announced that it had filed an indictment against the defendant S. T., a Serb, for war crimes against the civilian population in the period 1998-1999, in the village of Reznik, municipality of Vucitrn and surrounding villages.

Let us remind you that Trajkovic was arrested on December 15 last year in Bosniak Mahala in North Mitrovica. At the beginning of November last year, together with other colleagues, he left the Kosovo Police as a sign of protest against the violence that the authorities in Pristina are carrying out against the Serbs in the north.

On May 25, the Court of Appeal of Kosovo made a decision to cancel the decision on extending the custody of Trajkovic, but on May 29, the Basic Court in Pristina again made a decision to extend the detention for another two months.

Lawyer Vasic previously wrote to the ambassadors of the Quint countries to use diplomatic means to influence the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo to enable Sladjan Trajkovic to be placed under house arrest, due to his extremely poor state of health due to inadequate treatment.
