Kosovo’s acting Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku, stated on T7 that “a formation like the Serb List, with its activities in recent years, should not have been in the Kosovo Assembly,” reports Gazeta Express.

Asked why the Serb List is not declared a terrorist organization, but instead continues to be denied certification for local elections—such as today, in a decision that could still be overturned by higher instances—Çeku said that “the body managing that area is the CEC, in which everyone has their representatives.”

“We have only two votes in the CEC; the others have the majority because that is the composition of the CEC,” Çeku noted in the program Pressing, Gazeta Express reports.
He added that “the Banjska case and the connection of the Serb List with Belgrade, as well as its actions against the state of Kosovo, are sufficient reasons for the stance being taken.”

“I support the position taken today. We declared the organizations operating in northern Kosovo, connected with the Serb List and Belgrade, to be terrorist organizations,” Çeku added.
