Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, who yesterday released an interview with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on his podcast, is a senior advisor to his father and serves as the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization.

He played an active role in both of Donald Trump’s presidential campaigns and, according to U.S. media, strongly lobbied for J.D. Vance to be selected as Vice President of the United States, as well as for Tulsi Gabbard to be appointed Director of National Intelligence.

In Belgrade, he visited twice within six months, and during his visit three days ago, he met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. During that meeting, he hosted him on his podcast, "Triggered," where the topics ranged from the economy to Ukraine. However, Trump Jr. began the conversation by reminding his followers that NATO bombed Serbia in 1999 amid Bill Clinton's scandal with Monica Lewinsky, and that many see the bombing of Serbia as a distraction from that affair.

He also reminded that Serbia maintains the stance that Kosovo is an integral part of it, and emphasized that different groups have entirely different views on territorial integrity when it comes to Serbia and Kosovo, especially when compared to their stance on Ukraine.

On his "X" account, Trump Jr. has nearly 15 million followers, and his podcast is said to be influential among young conservatives.

During his father’s first presidential term, in March 2020, he expressed the view that it was time for American soldiers stationed in Kosovo to return home.

At that time, he retweeted a post from U.S. Senator David Perdue, who stated that American forces had been helping maintain peace between Kosovo and Serbia for more than two decades. He added that, with historic progress in sight, Kosovo must do its part by lifting all tariffs imposed on Serbia—tariffs that were in effect at the time on goods from Serbia.

Perdue noted that if Kosovo was not fully committed to peace, the U.S. should reconsider its presence there, to which Trump Jr. added his own comment—agreeing.

"Agreed. There are 650 American soldiers in Kosovo. It’s time to bring them home," he wrote.

The media also took note that in November 2020, while making his projections for the election results, he posted a world map on Twitter where Kosovo was shown as part of Serbia.

Trump Jr. (47), born in New York, is one of three children from Donald Trump's first marriage to Ivana Trump, who was born in what was then Czechoslovakia and passed away in 2022.

He studied at the same university as his father. He graduated with a degree in finance and real estate from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. He is an avid hunter. He has five children with his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump.
