Abazovic: The Open Balkan gave momentum to the Berlin Process

Prime Minister of Montenegro in technical mandate Dritan Abazovic is currently in Bucharest, where he is attending a two-day meeting of foreign ministers of the NATO bloc. In an interview with Klix.ba, he said that the Open Balkans gave momentum to the Berlin Process, Portal Analitika reports.

As one of the open supporters of the Open Balkan initiatives and the Berlin Process, Abazovic says that these two initiatives do not interfere with each other but act as a "healthy competition".

"I personally support all forms of regional cooperation, everything that contributes to greater cooperation, that we are together and not at enmity, whether it is the Berlin process or the Open Balkans. When it comes to the Berlin Process, the situation is slightly reversed, the Open Balkans gave momentum to the Berlin Process - it's about healthy competition," Abazovic says.

He notes that Bosnia and Herzegovina has not been neglected by the Open Balkan - an initiative for everyone has been launched.

"When it comes to the Open Balkan and the relation towards Bosnia and Herzegovina - I have not heard that this initiative was not made for six countries. That is important to emphasize because we in the Balkans always have this frustration that someone wants to do something to us. The Western Balkans have a lot to offer the European Union, but we have to trust each other," Abazovic concluded.
