The Agency for the Comparison and Verification of Property has called on Serbs to leave their homes
The Director of the Kosovo Agency for the Comparison and Verification of Property, Aferdita Beka Arifaj, has called on Serbs facing eviction from their apartments to voluntarily leave their homes.
Earlier today, the Director of the Agency met with Serbs at the European House in North Mitrovica, where they conveyed that the meeting did not provide any solutions to their problems.
In a statement from the Agency, it was noted that the goal of the meeting, with the help of the EU Special Representative’s team in Kosovo, was to ensure ongoing communication with the affected parties and discuss their housing needs.
Stating that these cases have been resolved by final and binding decisions, Beka Arifaj committed to "finding appropriate housing solutions together with those affected."
She called on Serbs to "cooperate with the Agency and voluntarily vacate their property," the statement added, noting that the Agency "is dedicated to protecting property rights throughout Kosovo in accordance with relevant legislation."
