Gashi: Eviction of Serbian institutions from the building in North Mitrovica part of Kurti's political campaign

Political analyst Dardan Gashi has stated that the eviction of Serbian institutions from a building in the Bosniak Mahala in North Mitrovica was part of a political campaign by Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti and that all of Kurti's interventions in the north had resulted in failures and regressive situations, as reported by Gazeta Blic.

Gashi emphasized that the escalation of the situation in the north might have other motives, including changing the focus of public opinion and diverting attention from other issues in Kosovo.

According to him, after every "internal turmoil" within the Kosovo Government, Kurti deepens problems in the north.

"Whenever Kurti's affairs get cloudy internally, he does something in the north because public interest is then directed there, and he can continue with his failures unnoticed," Gashi said.

Regarding the statement by NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg that the Kosovo Government must coordinate with NATO even regarding the deployment of Kosovo Police Special Forces in the north, Gashi emphasizes the importance of an agreement with the Alliance, adding that KFOR is responsible for security and stability.
