Arbereshe Kryeziu: Stano's statement that Kosovo does not behave in a European manner is scandalous

Self-Determination MP Arbereshe Kryeziu called the statement of European Union spokesperson Peter Stano "reckless and scandalous", who said that the measures against the Government of Kosovo had been introduced due to their inability to "start behaving in a European manner and to de-escalate the situation"

For Teve 1, she called the EU's measures against Kosovo - un-European behavior.

"For me, the un-European behavior was yesterday's statement by Peter Stano, but also the measures of the EU towards Kosovo, as well as the unequal approach that was shown in different stages of the process," Kryeziu said.

She is convinced that Stano's statement yesterday caused reactions on the international level as well, considering it reckless.

"It was reckless and not a statement that should reflect the European spirit, especially now when we are in a process where the parties are expected to return to dialogue," Kryeziu stated.

According to her, the EU should introduce measures against Serbia, because it is Serbia that, as she says, violated and did not fulfill its obligations from the Ohrid Agreement.

She added that it was not Kosovo, but Serbia that "didn't behave in a European manner", stating that "Stano may have been confused and wanted to send that message to Serbia".
