Arsovski: The EU is interested in European integration in this region, considers Albania a leader

Analyst from Skopje, Petar Arsovski, says that by holding the European Political Community summit in Tirana, a clear message was sent that the European Union remains interested in European integration in this region, that it considers Albania a leader in the process, and wants to demonstrate significant and declarative support for reforms.
“The message is relatively clear. It is about the existence of a certain desire for the Western Balkans to continue moving toward the European Union, and that Albania is the relative leader in that process. The European Union’s appetite for enlargement, or more precisely, for success stories in the Balkans regarding enlargement, will focus only on Montenegro and Albania,” Arsovski told Kosovo Online.
As he stated, the Western Balkans cannot expect anything from such summits other than already familiar messages about strengthening support for European integration, but emphasized that the "homework" still lies with the countries in the region.
