Burjani: The message of the Summit in Tirana is that preserving peace and stability is most important

Political analyst Blerim Burjani emphasized that the message of the European Political Community Summit held in Tirana is to preserve peace and stability and to stop the war in Ukraine, adding that the expansion of the EU to the Balkan countries remains a topic that will still be on hold.

Speaking to Kosovo Online, Burjani stated that he does not expect anything new regarding EU enlargement before 2030.

“The most significant topic for the European Union is the defense of the EU. The European Union will soon be armed to the teeth. For now, peace and stability are the most important topics, while EU enlargement is not on the agenda, it is currently on hold. Peace, stability, economic reforms, and economic development for a new Europe – that requires a clear strategy from the countries that wish to join the European Union,” Burjani said.
