Pension Fund: International community should prevent Kurti's mercenaries from enforcing violence in Kosovo and Metohija
The constant harassment of the Serbian people, honest and respected Serbs who want to live in northern Kosovo, does not spare even the institutions, as stated by the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
The Pension and Disability Insurance Fund issued a statement after yesterday's incursion of the Kosovo Police into the premises of this institution in the neighborhood of Bosniak Mahala in Northern Mitrovica.
"At the request of the illegal, illegitimate, and false mayor of North Mitrovica, who won 3 percent of the votes, a group of police officers and municipal inspectors entered the building housing the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the Directorate of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund in Pristina with its seat in Kosovska Mitrovica, as well as the Kosovo-Mitrovica Administrative District in the neighborhood of Bosniak Mahala in Kosovska Mitrovica. On this occasion, they asked on the basis of which document these institutions are located in that building, as according to them, it is owned by the municipality," the Pension Fund stated.
As they reported, the police officers told the employees that they had an order to 'liberate' that and all other buildings owned by the municipality and that they would come again on Monday.
"The violent entry of the terrorist Kosovo police forces into the premises of the Fund, located in Kosovska Mitrovica, represents a violation of one of the fundamental human rights, the right to work, and at the same time is an attempt to place all Serbian institutions under the banner of the unconstitutional state of Kosovo," the Pension Fund's statement read.
It is added that with the brutal intrusion of Kosovo police members into the Fund's premises, employees were prevented from performing their daily activities, which are guaranteed by the Law on Safety and Health at Work.
"By preventing us from working and serving nearly 28,000 beneficiaries currently residing in Kosovo and Metohija, who persist there thanks to the support of the state of Serbia, instilling fear in us without explanation, violently seizing our premises and equipment, and jeopardizing the lives of employees, they are directly violating all norms of International Public Law and once again showing the entire world what they are prepared for," it was emphasized.
Regarding this incident as well as other actions aimed at the Serbian people, they state that the chief negotiator of the European Union, Miroslav Lajcak, and other international representatives have been informed, but there has been no reaction so far.
"We call on the international community to urgently prevent Kurti's and foreign mercenaries from enforcing violence in Kosovo and Metohija, thus preventing the escalation of conflicts between the Serbian people and the Kosovo Police," the Pension Fund concluded.
