Berisha: Kurti's intention to influence the internal politics of Albania and North Macedonia is dangerous

The MP of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Hysen Berisha, said that the intention of the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti to impose himself as a national leader and to influence the internal politics of Albania and North Macedonia was very dangerous, the Albanian Post reports.

"The tendency to impose himself as a national leader and to impose himself in internal politics in Albania and North Macedonia is dangerous," Berisha emphasized.

He requested that Kosovo's leaders behave the same way Albanian leaders had behaved towards Kosovo, providing political, diplomatic, and logistical support.

Berisha compared Kurti's support to the Albanian opposition parties in North Macedonia, with that given by the former President of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, to Palestine in 2001 to "liberate" Jerusalem from Israel.

"Kurti's actions are very similar to Saddam Hussein when he was protecting the Palestinians from Israel. But we all know what happened to Hussein," Berisha said.

He emphasized that Kosovo, by being excluded from the "Defender 2023" military exercise, had lost the possibility of certifying the army.
