Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi said today that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities did not imply territorial autonomy in any part of Kosovo, Dukagjini reported.
In an address before the Foreign Policy Committee of the European Parliament, Bislimi said that the Brussels Agreement required a mechanism that functioned as a non-governmental organization, not as autonomy for the Serbs.
"Previous Brussels agreements and Ahtisaari's plan do not call for autonomy. They imply a mechanism for coordination between municipalities with a Serbian majority in the form of an association. A non-governmental organization, not as territorial autonomy in any part of the country, regardless of whether the municipalities are in the north or the south," Bislimi explained.
He stated that Kosovo showed commitment, readiness, and constructiveness in the dialogue process.
