Brnabic: It is unequivocal that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities must be formed
The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, says that after the talks in Ohrid, it is unequivocal that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities in Kosovo will have to be formed and that this is the first item of all further implementation agreements, and that it is completely clear that this will have to be done in accordance with the agreements signed in 2013 and 2015, RTV reports.
In an interview with Tanjug on the way from Belgrade to Novi Sad on the "Soko" train, the anniversary of which is being celebrated today, the Prime Minister said that the formation of such a CSM would be the result of the work, efforts, and struggle of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, 10 years ago and during the past decade as well as today.
"In his address to the citizens, the president said what had happened yesterday and I would not talk about it further. He explained it in the best way, and I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for having difficult conversations and not backing down even a step, and fighting to provide us with peace and stability, and that we as the Government can work to improve the quality of life of citizens," Brnabic said.
She particularly emphasized that Vucic had been direct and had not hesitated to say what Serbia's red lines were.
Brnabic stressed that peace and stability were also necessary for the completion of started infrastructure projects because, without long-term peace and stability, progress could not be made.
"All this is financed from the Serbian budget, and if someone gives a loan, it must be returned, and grants like the one we received from the European Union for the section to Nis are not so easily obtained. Therefore, we need investments and new jobs places so that we can build," Brnabic said.
