Brnabic: Kosovo Serbs' protection is the Serbian Government's priority

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated that the Government's priority was to protect the Serbs in Kosovo, Danas reports.

She told Informer that there could be no compromise when it came to people's lives and that everything Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti did in 2022 showed that he did not respect "the basic human rights of Serbs, but also of other non-Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija."

"The year began with him revoking the right to vote for Serbs, and it ends with the kidnapping of innocent Serbs and the banning of Patriarch Porfirije's entry," the prime minister said.

Serbia and Serbs have peace, as she pointed out, "only thanks to President Vucic."

Speaking about the European path, Brnabic said that this path was the best for Serbia and that it was in the best interest of the people.

"No matter how much hypocrisy and double standards bother us and no matter how difficult it is to talk about the rule of law, without the rule of law on the EU side in terms of respecting the Brussels Agreement, we must not give up on negotiations and diplomacy," she said.

As she added, almost 70 percent of Serbia's trade is with EU member states.
