Today, Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic assessed that the actions of Albin Kurti brought us to the brink of armed conflict, and expressed the opinion that Serbia had the right and intention, according to the UN Resolution 1244, to return a certain number of troops to Kosovo, RTV reports.

Brnabic stated today that Serbia would demand what was in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, which was a valid document, regarding Kosovo, and expressed the expectation that it would be accepted by all those who called on all countries of the world to comply with all Security Council resolutions.

"Everything that is in accordance with the UN Resolution 1244, which everyone voted for and which is a valid document. I believe that when we demand it, after many years since the adoption of Resolution 1244, that, of course, all those who call on all countries of the world to comply with all resolutions of the Security Council will accept to ensure the principles of the international law and, as they say, peace in the world," Brnabic said.

Brnabic, when asked by journalists to comment on the situation in Kosovo, said that there had been a contrast. Serbia, was introducing a direct Air Serbia flight to China, which was a big and important thing for the connection of Serbia, Europe, and China, and yesterday’s opening of the American Rivian technology center, something that it did like a 22nd-century country. On the other hand, the situation that Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti was getting us back to the 18th century.

"We always have a paradoxical situation, on one hand, to fight for the economy of the future, to succeed in this, to have jobs, investors, young people returning to Serbia from the Diaspora, to have more and more innovative companies that raise our standard faster and on the other hand, constantly, now every day, someone returns us to the 18th century," Brnabic pointed out.

Brnabic pointed out that everything that Kurti was doing, at that moment, was a danger not only for the Serbs but also for Albanians and the whole of Europe.

"That is the politics of the 19th century. I am extremely worried and it was difficult to sleep last night. Kurti brought all of us, both the Serbs and the Albanians, to the very brink of war. But he did not do it alone. We have completely ignorant behavior from partners in the EU who do not react or act last minute. You have KFOR and EULEX who are not doing their job, not only according to the Brussels agreement but also according to the Kumanovo agreement. They do not protect the Serbs in Kosovo, neither south of the Ibar nor in the north of Kosovo," Brnabic pointed out.

She also said that the violations of the Kumanovo Agreement, as well as the Brussels Agreement, were seen every day.

"That is why we are very close to it and I believe that today, President Aleksandar Vucic will give more information about his meetings to request the return of our forces to Kosovo and Metohija according to the UN Resolution 1244, because KFOR is not doing its job and because the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija cannot feel safe. Their lives are in danger there, including children in kindergartens," she pointed out.

Brnabic referred to the invasion of KFOR and ROSU, armed to the teeth, into a kindergarten in the north of Kosovo and said that some people from KFOR and Pristina should think about how it would be for them to know that men, armed to the teeth, invaded the kindergarten where their children slept.

"No one is doing absolutely anything. We have been brought to the brink of armed conflict. We were brought to this by one irresponsible individual. President Vucic has said more than 10 times that it would come to that. Kurti takes risks every day, which leads to a certain instability and only a spark is enough. I cannot understand the partners in the EU, neither NATO nor KFOR or EULEX because, in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, which is currently governed by the Provisional Institutions in Pristina, you do not have the rule of law, nor basic human rights, nor is anyone controlling it, nor whether the Serbs and other non-Albanians feel safe at all," the prime minister said.

Serbia, as she underlines, only wants peace and that is obvious.

"Kurti, she says, is taking a risk because there is not a single investor, not a single job that he can lose, and in Europe and the world, he has the highest unemployment rate in history, and it is the only territory on the European continent that started with electricity restrictions in August. His only politics is to cause a conflict so that people there would not ask why they live like that. He thereby risks the fate of all people in the Western Balkans. And everyone is thunderously silent,” she warned.

Brnabic pointed out that she thought that Serbia had the right, according to the UN Resolution 1244, and the intention to return a certain number of troops there, because if KFOR did not ensure peace, Serbia wanted to fight for peace and stability. After all, it had a lot to lose.

"Don't play with people's lives and the perspective that we worked so hard for," she said.
