Covic: The basis of Kurti's democracy is the repression of Serbs
Former President of the Coordination Center for Kosovo and Metohija, Nebojsa Covic, said today that Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statement that the Serb List would "suffer and pay" indicated that his goal was ethnic cleansing of Serbs and that he remained committed to the idea of forming 'Greater Albania,' as reported by Pink.
"It is well known which group Kurti belongs to and what his behavior is like. As a student of Demaci, he is satisfied with the 'Greater Albania' project. We are in a phase where the realization of 'Greater Albania' is being attempted. His democracy and the rule of law fundamentally involve continuous repression and pressure on the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija. This is even an attempt at ethnic cleansing of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, based on the principle of 'what are you complaining about when you are not even there'," Covic said.
He assessed that foreign diplomats dealing with Kosovo were in trouble and did not know how to reach the Kosovo Prime Minister.
"It is obvious that they no longer know what to do with Kurti. They have not imposed sanctions because it requires a unanimous decision; they have taken measures, but they have not yielded results. They have some instruments, such as the abolition of the visa-free regime, but Germany opposes this," he said.
Covic said that agreements were being made that were not implemented—there were only promises and deceptive actions.
"At the same time, a new reality is being projected, a police force is being formed and armed, and some security forces are being established. Nothing has been implemented, but a new reality has been created," Covic emphasized.
