Dacic: Belgrade without an answer from KFOR for now; Kurti is the biggest obstacle to the dialogue

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic says it is difficult to discuss "a permanent solution to Kosovo while Serbs are being arrested and various problems have to be overcome every day."

Today, on the eve of the 11th SPS Congress in Belgrade, when asked whether Belgrade had received an answer from KFOR regarding the return of Serbian forces to Kosovo, Dacic said that until that moment, he was not aware that an answer had been received.

Commenting on the situation in Kosovo, the minister indicated that we were in a virtual process that was permeated with "various thoughtless acts of Albin Kurti, who is clearly the biggest obstacle to the dialogue."

"You cannot have a serious dialogue on some big and important issues because every day and every week you are dealing with de-escalation and overcoming different problems. While people are at the barricades and while Serbs are being arrested, it is difficult to discuss a permanent solution to the Kosovo and Metohija problem," Dacic said for Tanjug.

The initial issue is the de-escalation of the problem, he pointed out, so that we could turn to dialogue.

"We are ready for dialogue, we have red lines and principles, and we will give full support to President Aleksandar Vucic as a party and coalition in defense of our national interests," Dacic said.
