Djuric on the 23rd Anniversary of the terrorist attack in the US: It's high time for the world to unite in the fight against this evil
Serbia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Djuric, on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist attack on the U.S., stated that, unfortunately, we still face serious global threats today, while terrorism remains undefeated, adding that Serbia remains committed to active participation in all international anti-terrorism mechanisms.
"On the anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil, we join the people of the United States and all nations that suffered the tragic loss of innocent lives on that fateful September 11, 2001, in remembrance and in honoring the nearly 3,000 victims," Djuric stated on the social network "X."
He added that even 23 years later, we continue to face serious global threats while terrorism remains undefeated.
He emphasized that it is high time for the world to unite in the fight against this evil and for this to become a top national priority for all countries striving for a stable future and international relations based on peaceful coexistence and cooperation.
"Serbia remains committed to actively participating in all international anti-terrorism mechanisms and initiatives aimed at ensuring a safer, more peaceful world for future generations," Djuric said.
Twenty-three years ago today, a terrorist attack was carried out in the United States, resulting in the loss of approximately 3,000 lives. Two hijacked planes struck the "Twin Towers" of the World Trade Center in New York, while another hit the Pentagon complex in Washington, D.C. A fourth plane crashed in Pennsylvania.
