Djuric: Another year of strengthening Serbia's international standing is behind us

Serbia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric said today that another year of strengthening Serbia’s international standing, continuous economic growth, new infrastructure projects and investments is behind us, as well as a year of struggles and challenges on both the domestic and international stage.

“At the moments when the old year gives way to the new, we reflect on what we have achieved and accomplished, and with great hope and enthusiasm we make plans and look forward to the many opportunities that will open up in the next 365 days. Another year of strengthening Serbia’s international standing, continuous economic growth, new infrastructure projects and investments is behind us, but also a year of struggles and challenges on the domestic and international stage,” Djuric wrote in his New Year’s holiday message.

He wished that in the new year 2026, as he said, we all step forward more serious and responsible, stronger and wiser, and richer in knowledge and skills that will ensure Serbia’s further progress, stability, development, and concrete results both internationally and domestically.

“I wish all citizens of Serbia and our people in the diaspora a happy New Year, with my warmest wishes for health, prosperity, and personal success,” Djuric wrote on Instagram.
