Djuric: Grenada’s position on Kosovo demonstrates commitment to the core principles of international law and the UN Charter

During his visit to Antigua and Barbuda, Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, Export and Development of Grenada, Joseph Andall, to whom he expressed gratitude for Grenada’s position regarding the issue of Kosovo.

The two ministers discussed further strengthening of political dialogue and economic cooperation.

Minister Djuric extended an invitation to his Grenadian counterpart to pay an official visit to Serbia, noting that such a visit would provide additional impetus to the advancement of bilateral relations.

He reiterated Serbia’s appreciation for Grenada’s stance on the issue of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, emphasizing that through its consistent position, Grenada has demonstrated a firm commitment to the core principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

Minister Djuric also conveyed Serbia’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Grenada within international organizations.

The meeting also addressed opportunities to expand economic cooperation, and Minister Djuric used the occasion to thank Grenada for its decision to participate in the upcoming Specialized Expo, stating that Serbia will strive to organize an unforgettable event.

Finally, Minister Djuric invited Grenada to continue making use of the “World in Serbia” scholarship program for students and expressed Serbia’s willingness to accommodate Grenada’s needs in this area.
