Djuric held talks with Zambia’s foreign minister and expressed gratitude for that country’s support for Serbia’s sovereignty
Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric met in Antalya, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, with Zambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mulambo Haimbe, and on that occasion expressed gratitude to Zambia for its principled and firm stance in supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia.
According to a statement by the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, recalling that the traditional friendship between Serbia and Zambia dates back to the time of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and their cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement, Djuric emphasized that Serbia remains committed to further strengthening political dialogue on these foundations and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Speaking about opportunities to advance cooperation, particularly in the economic sphere, Minister Djuric noted that Serbia, thanks to implemented reforms, enjoys a stable economic situation and has, over the past decade, increased its gross domestic product by more than two and a half times.
Djuric also highlighted that Serbia is particularly pleased with Zambia’s participation in the Expo 2027 Belgrade, assessing it as an excellent opportunity for Zambia to present itself and to establish contacts with international business representatives during the event.
