Djuric: Kurti's police raid on the Red Cross in Zubin Potok a serious violation of international norms

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić has responded to today’s raid by Kosovo Police on the premises of the Red Cross of Kosovo and Metohija near Lake Gazivode, in the municipality of Zubin Potok, describing it as an unacceptable and provocative act constituting a serious breach of international norms and conventions.
“In an alarming display of lawlessness, armed members of Mr. Kurti’s police today stormed the premises of the Red Cross of Kosovo and Metohija near Lake Gazivode, in the municipality of Zubin Potok. This unjustified and unacceptably provocative act targeting a key humanitarian service for the Serbian population in the province represents not only a grave violation of the protected status of a humanitarian institution, but also a serious breach of international norms and conventions,” Đurić wrote in a post on platform “X”.
The Minister called on the international community to react and demand accountability from those responsible for what he termed an “assault on human dignity and humanity.”
“Strongly condemning yet another incident in the increasingly frequent pattern of targeted pressure and intimidation against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, I urge the international community, relevant organizations, and our partners to unequivocally condemn this attack on human dignity and humanity, and to demand full accountability from those responsible,” Đurić wrote.
