Djuric: Meeting between the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman and Serbian General Staff Chief very important for Serbia

Serbian Ambassador to the US Marko Djuric informed that yesterday's meeting held in the Pentagon between the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, General Milan Mojsilovic, and the US Armed Forces Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark A. Milley, was especially significant for Serbia.

Djuric stated on Facebook that the meeting discussed issues of mutual interest and steps toward further improving Serbia-US cooperation.

"I was honored to participate in the first talks between the American and Serbian Chiefs of General Staff after more than a decade, which were held at a very important moment for our country," Djuric wrote.

As announced by the Ministry of Defense of Serbia, as part of the official visit to the US, General Mojsilovic had several meetings with General Milley and other officials of the Ministry of Defense of the US.

The meetings discussed the current security situation in the world and challenges in the region, as well as the bilateral military cooperation between Serbia and the US. The conversations were open, meaningful, professional, and focused on the future.

In the continuation of his visit to Washington, Mojsilovic will meet with the head of the US National Guard Bureau, General Daniel Hokanson, with whom he will discuss bilateral military cooperation in areas of mutual interest, with an emphasis on cooperation between the Serbian Army and the Ohio National Guard.
