Djuric meets with Kaja Kallas: Pristina must fulfill its obligations and establish the Community of Serb Municipalities

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Djuric, met with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, ahead of the informal dinner for Western Balkan foreign ministers.

Djuric emphasized that EU membership remains Serbia’s strategic commitment, underscoring that the country is deeply dedicated to its European path and, as a credible partner, seeks to contribute to the peace, stability, and prosperity of Europe, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

The Serbian Foreign Minister reiterated that reforms remain a top priority and expressed hope that the European Union will recognize and positively value Serbia’s efforts.

Regarding the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Djuric affirmed that Belgrade is fully committed to the process and that the new EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue will have Belgrade’s support.

At the same time, Minister Djuric stressed the necessity for Pristina to fulfill its obligations under the agreements reached thus far, and above all, to establish the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM).

He further stated that Serbia’s key interests lie in maintaining regional stability, enhancing regional cooperation, and fostering the best possible neighborly relations.

In that context, Minister Djuric highlighted that Serbia will continue to contribute to the easing of tensions through a constructive approach.
