Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric stated in New York that this year's representation of Serbia at the UN General Assembly might have been the most comprehensive in the last 12 years. He added that Serbia is significantly improving its position through the level of effort being put forth and that they will talk everywhere about the position of Serbs in Kosovo.

"Tonight in New York, Serbia presented a different vision of the region. A vision where the region we live in will become a region of success. A region that, instead of focusing on divisions, conflicts, and senseless disputes that dominate European and global politics, will focus on new technologies – on cooperation, on artificial intelligence. And just when everyone expects Serbia to send harsh and bitter words, the President of Serbia spoke about artificial intelligence, the future, cooperation, and connectivity," Djuric said at the reception "Serbia Beyond the Future," which he hosted.

He added that many important people had attended the Serbian reception.

"There were eight or nine foreign ministers who quickly responded to our invitation. The President of North Macedonia, many important people from the political life of the United States, many important figures from the United Nations system, and many prominent individuals from the scientific community... I was proud to see a significant Serbian academic community here in America, including several Serbian professors from Columbia University... And if I tell you that this event is just one highlight of today's activities, it is because today Serbia was literally present at dozens of events on various levels. President Vucic had numerous bilateral meetings, and I can't even count my own bilateral meetings. So many meetings with so many ministers, agreements signed today, for which we will provide a detailed written report to the public in Serbia. I also participated in the Southeast European cooperation process and delivered a speech at the critical raw materials partnership meeting, where Serbia, along with 14 leading industrial countries and the European Union, is participating," the minister emphasized.

He added that Serbia is significantly improving its position through the intensity and level of effort being invested.

"There were attempts today by actors from the region and our southern province to put different labels on Serbia. Some of them are roaming the corridors of the United Nations. You should see Kurti and Gervalla and the others wandering around the UN building. Of course, they cannot enter the hall because they are not UN members and don't have such possibilities on the horizon. I regret that they use this opportunity to roam the halls and say bad things about us," Djuric stressed.

He emphasized that Serbia will not retaliate in kind.

"We will not respond in kind, but we will speak everywhere about the difficult situation Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are facing due to their destructive policies. In any case, dear citizens of Serbia, we can be satisfied with the level of Serbia's representation here. I don't like to lightly use such words of praise, but I am truly grateful to the entire team at the Serbian Mission, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President’s Office, the Ministry of Jelena Begovic, and the Chamber of Commerce – as Mr. Cadez and the Chamber of Commerce are here as well. I can honestly say that, having participated in UN assemblies for 12 years consecutively, this might be our most comprehensive representation to date," the head of Serbian diplomacy concluded.
