Djuric: Social and political stability a thorn in the side of anyone who is against Serbia

On the occasion of yesterday's round of dialogue in Brussels, Serbia's Ambassador to the US Marko Djuric told the political actors who, he claimed, were leading a disinformation campaign that lying about Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, as well as prejudicing the outcome of the talks, would not save Kosovo as part of Serbia, but would help the Government of Albin Kurti reduce the pressure on itself due to the rejection of the CSM.
"For the eye and the soul, by using the topic of the Kosovo and Metohija negotiations for the purposes and needs of daily politics while the negotiations are still largely underway, by labeling and forming a lynch mob, political actors who were neither elected nor qualified for this and clearly are not up to it, are narrowing the room for maneuver on the Serbian side in a very complex geopolitical moment and directly harming Serbia's state position in the dialogue. By lying about Aleksandar Vucic and prejudging the outcome of the talks, you will not preserve Kosovo and Metohija as part of Serbia. But you will help Kurti's government relieving the pressure placed on it due to the rejection of the CSM," Djuric stated in a Facebook post.
According to Djuric, by running a negative and misinformation campaign about Kosovo, Pristina is assisted in shifting the blame for every day without implementing previous agreements and accepting the collective rights of Serbs in Kosovo onto Serbia, in the eyes of the international community.
"More importantly, this indirectly, but quite unequivocally, makes the position of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija more difficult. This is not the time to rush to the seats or to sow discord and intolerance in society. This is the time for unity, trust, and elected holders of institutional responsibility who are and will always be accountable to the people in a democratically planned procedure. Social and political stability is a thorn in the side of anyone who is against Serbia," Djuric said.
He also noted that it had been noticed that "a part of Kurti's troll farms on social media also got involved in the campaign about the alleged treason."
"I call on all honorable people, regardless of their political orientation, not to be part of that chorus," Djuric stated.
