Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic understood why the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities was unacceptable to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, but he points out that these are obligations that were undertaken earlier and that must be fulfilled.

Vucic, after the meeting with Albin Kurti in Brussels, said that he hoped that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities would be formed soon.

"I listened carefully to Mr. Kurti and understood why this was unacceptable for him, but these are obligations that must be fulfilled and I believe they will be fulfilled in the coming period. Don't forget that the European Council is on March 23 and 24, they want to have the report on what we have achieved, and based on that, it will refer to our European integrations - both Serbia and Kosovo," Vucic told reporters.

Stating that he saw that a campaign was being conducted against the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, the president said that he would talk about it separately tomorrow so that everyone would get to know what had been signed in 2013 and 2015.

"There are 22 principles that we have signed and which are of crucial importance for us, literally of crucial importance for the Serbs, and if someone does not understand that, it means that they do not understand reality, because if someone thought of canceling payment transactions between Belgrade and Pristina, my is the question of how we are going to pay the salaries of professors, teachers, doctors, nurses..." the president said.

He adds that within the framework of the CSM principle, there is a function related to health, education, and spatial planning - many important things for us are there.

Asked what he thought those who said they would sign the agreement today would say, given that he was returning without a signature, the president says that he will do nothing.

"They will always find something, that's how it goes with people, first they say that I came to sign, then this, and that, stop the nonsense," the president said.

Asked if there had been talk of mutual recognition of documents, he replied that they had not discussed it, but that he had been ready to talk about that topic as well - as soon as the story about the CSM had been over.

When asked by foreign journalists, whether Serbia was ready to accept the independence of Kosovo, Vucic replied that Serbia was a member of the United Nations, but that Kosovo was not, and that Belgrade was always committed to international law, the UN Charter, and the Constitution of Serbia.

Asked if they had agreed with the European proposal, he repeated that there had been no discussion about that, but about the implementation of something that had already been agreed upon.

"That is the most important topic, and if you ask me why - because you can sign something, but if there is no implementation plan - exactly what happened with the Brussels Agreement will happen - Pristina does not fulfill it for 10 years," Vucic said.

About Weller: Pristina has excellent teams, but they are helped by the US and the EU

When asked to comment on the presence of Marc Weller in the Kosovo delegation, who was one of the main actors in the process before the International Court of Justice, Vucic said that they had excellent teams, but that they were also helped by others - Americans and Europeans.

"They have excellent teams, they bragged about how they beat Jeremic and Tadic back then. But it wasn't them, it was those who helped them, the Americans and the Europeans, who won. But I congratulate them for that," Vucic said.
