The Serbian Ambassador to the US, Marko Djuric, met with US Senators Jane Shahen, Chris Murphy, and Chris Van Hollen, with whom he discussed the need to form the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities and also informed them of the challenges faced by the Serbs in Kosovo.

"In today's constructive meeting with Senators Jane Shahen, Chris Murphy, and Chris Van Hollen, I urged the need to form the Community of Serb Municipalities, and to build trust in agreements' implementation as key elements for further normalization of Belgrade-Pristina relations," Djuric wrote on Twitter yesterday.

He also informed the senators about the challenges faced by Serbs in Kosovo.

"I also recounted numerous challenges that the Serb community in Kosovo and Metohija is continually being faced with. In addition, I informed the senators of the economic opportunities in Serbia and expressed Serbia's desire to continue developing its relationship with the US," Djuric stated.
