Foreign Minister Marko Djuric stated today that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has formed a Crisis Task Force for the evacuation of Serbian citizens from Israel and Iran.

"We are the first country in our part of the world to carry out a partial evacuation, and yesterday, twelve of our citizens were evacuated from the territory of Israel. We are working with other agencies and ministries, the entire Government is engaged to ensure we have accurate information. At this moment, about 80 of our citizens in Israel have registered for evacuation," Djuric said.

Expressing hope and expectation that the situation may begin to de-escalate, the head of Serbian diplomacy said that, regardless of the outcome, Serbian citizens can always reach out to Serbian embassies.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank and commend our diplomats for their dedication. I would remind everyone that just a few days ago, one of the rockets landed in front of the residence where our ambassador in Tel Aviv is staying. Our diplomats are bravely carrying out their duties in both Israel and Iran, representing Serbia, protecting the interests of our citizens, and caring for them. That is how it should be," Minister Marko Djuric concluded.
