Dodik: According to what logic does Pristina ask for membership in the EU, and Republika Srpska cannot?
The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik asked in a guest appearance on Prva television, according to what logic Pristina was applying for membership in the European Union, and the Republika Srpska could not do that, RTRS reports.
Dodik emphasized that the unity of the Serbian people and Serbian politics is the joint response of Republika Srpska and Serbia to all pressures.
"I have always said that the Serbian people have often suffered, but they are now showing unity wherever they live, both here in Srpska and in Kosovo and Metohija," Dodik said.
Dodik believes it is high time that "we tell this world what our goals are for the coming decades and that it is certainly Serbian unification in the true sense."
"I'm not a man who gives up on that story," Dodik said.
Dodik pointed out that if there were a referendum today in Srpska on joining Serbia, the Serbian people would aspire to have a massive turnout and support for all that.
"That is what the will is, and the trouble is that the international factor does not respect that will, nor it has for centuries, thinking that the Serbian national being should be disunited and broken into several legal state forms so that it does not concentrate and become what it really is - the most powerful expression in the Balkans," Dodik said.
Dodik emphasized that his idea was for the Serbian people to tell the world that they had some clear options.
"The will of the people is absolutely clear and the politicians who represent it, as well as those from the West, must follow the will of the people," the President of Srpska said.
Commenting on the situation in Kosovo, Dodik said that it was a game of the big ones, who were trying to humiliate the Serbs and Serbia.
