Vucic: Our friends reacted justly to Pristina's request for EU membership
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that Serbia had been negotiating hard for 10 years, and that Pristina did not fulfill the condition to form the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, RTS reports.
"Today they received Kosovo's candidacy for admission to the EU, and some of our friends in Europe reacted justly," he said.
He thanked the Cypriot President Nikos Anasatasiades, the Spaniards, the Hungarians and everyone who helped.
He said that the Serbs in Kosovo are demanding that those illegally arrested be released.
The second request, he says, is that the Kosovo Police special units cannot enter the north of Kosovo without the consent of the four mayors in the north and KFOR.
"They are looking for what has already been signed and accepted, and they are looking for no arrests of the people who were on the barricades and opposed the lawlessness of Pristina. It is not worth it for us to wait for justice. We have to focus on the interests of our country," Vucic pointed out.
