Escobar: I made it clear to Kurti that we expect the CSM formation

US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, said that he discussed the situation in the north of Kosovo at a meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and added that they tried to find a solution, Reporteri reports.

Escobar said after the meeting that he made it clear that he expected from the Prime Minister of Kosovo to start working on the implementation of the agreement on the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.

"I clearly expressed the expectation that we start talking about the implementation of the CSM. I've made that clear, so I hope we'll see commitment during this crisis in the near future," Escobar said.

He said that he also discussed with Kurti the need for everyone to be calm in times of tension and to continue the dialogue.

Also, Escobar added that he expressed his support to Kurti on the Franco-German proposal.
