EU: Issue of the clinic in Obilic resolved, Kosovo institutions must respect their obligations toward the European Union
The issue of the temporary closure of the clinic in Obilic has been resolved in coordination with the Government of Kosovo, a European Union spokesperson told Kosovo Online.
In a written response to our portal, the EU spokesperson emphasized that issues of this kind should be resolved through the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
“We expect Kosovo institutions and political representatives to fully respect the obligations they have undertaken toward the European Union and to address all issues related to Serbia-supported health and education services through the EU-facilitated Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, as well as in consultation with the Kosovo Serb community, in accordance with the Agreement of March 14 and other agreements reached within the framework of the dialogue,” the response states.
The Kosovo Police recently entered a Serbian-run clinic in Obilic, located in a residential building where several Serbian families live.
The operation took place after the Health Inspectorate in Pristina informed the police that the building housed a clinic operating within the Serbian system.
