German Embassy: The issue of the dinar must be a part of the dialogue, Pristina should participate in all meetings
The German Embassy in Pristina stated that the decision of the Central Bank of Kosovo to prohibit the use of the dinar had not only concerned Germany but also other EU members, emphasizing that this issue must be a part of the dialogue, and they also assess that representatives of the Kosovo Government should participate in all meetings dedicated to the normalization of relations.
"The concern expressed by Germany and a number of other friends and partners of Kosovo regarding the communication regarding the implementation of the Central Bank directive has been demonstrated several times," the German Embassy's response to RTV Dukagjini stated.
They add that the issue of the dinar should be a part of the dialogue with Serbia, and the Kosovo Government should participate in every meeting convened by EU intermediaries on this matter.
"From Germany's perspective, the Kosovo Government should participate in every meeting on the normalization of dialogue led by the EU to which it is invited. This is a part of the commitment to dialogue and the will to approach the EU as a whole. Kosovo has committed to both in several instances, and we expect this chosen course to remain," the German Embassy's response reads.
