US Presidential Envoy for Special Missions Richard Grenell said that caretaker Prime Minister and Self-Determination leader Albin Kurti had created the political crisis in Kosovo, assessing that the West would no longer work with him "because all he does is complain and create deadlocks," Gazeta Express reported.

"The political situation in Kosovo is a crisis created by Albin Kurti. He has failed to fight corruption and continues his long history of creating deadlocks and obstacles, just as he did when he was in opposition," Grenell said.

According to him, Kurti does not know how to govern.

"He clearly does not know how to govern. He is destined to remain on the sidelines and complain. In fact, he is better at criticizing from the sidelines than he is at running a government," Grenell added in a written interview with Gazeta Express.

Ahead of the announcement of the judgment by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague in the case against four former KLA leaders, Grenell said that the West wanted Hashim Thaci back in Kosovo.

"The West wants former President Hashim Thaci to be acquitted and return to help lead Kosovo again," Grenell stressed.

He said he believed that Thaci would have "a renewed perspective and new energy for the people of Kosovo."

"The West will no longer work with Kurti because all he does is complain and create deadlocks," Grenell said.
