Grenell: From peace and progress to chaos and troop occupation
Former Special Envoy of the US President for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richard Grenell, stated this morning, after KFOR troops surrounded municipal buildings in the north, that "we went from peace and progress to chaos and troop occupation."
Grenell shared a video on Twitter titled "Breaking," showing the barbed wire and a significant number of KFOR troops outside the municipality building in Leposavic.
"NATO troops have taken over buildings in Kosovo. American troops and American money. We went from peace and progress under Trump to chaos and troop occupation under Biden. Biden is so weak," Grenell stated.
Since this morning, KFOR forces have surrounded the municipal buildings in Leposavic, Zvecan, and Zubin Potok.
Italian KFOR troops are present in North Mitrovica, at the entrance to the Bosniak Mahalla, where they have been deployed since the early morning hours. Several jeeps and trucks with over 100 soldiers are present.
In Zvecan, a large number of Polish KFOR troops are also present, forming the first "security" ring around the municipality building. Kosovo police officers are positioned behind them near the municipal building.
To remind you, schools in northern Kosovo are closed today due to the newly emerged security situation and the significant presence of Kosovo police, who forcefully entered the municipal buildings of Zvecan, Zubin Potok, and Leposavic on Friday.
