Halimi: The only achievement of Kurti's government is the increase in imports from Serbia
The spokeswoman of the Democratic Union of Kosovo, Sibel Halimi, said that the Government of Kosovo was trying to cover up its failures and incompetence with propaganda and added that in the past two years there had been no new recognition of Kosovo, and that the only achievement of Albin Kurti's government is the increase in imports from Serbia, Reporteri reports.
Halimi reacted to the propaganda video of the Self-Determination movement published yesterday, in which the opposition and businessmen were attacked, and said that the Government should deal with the problems faced by the citizens.
The government, Halimi claims in a propaganda video, has returned to its craft, as the only means of political articulation. She added that Self-Determination is turning to the past, running away from responsibility.
"In the challenges we are going through, the party in power is engaged in propaganda instead of offering solutions to the problems facing our citizens. Yesterday we witnessed how the government returned to its craft as the only means of political articulation. They keep going back to the past with propaganda to avoid responsibility and cover up their incompetence," Halimi said.
She pointed out that Kurti's government had failed in many areas, stating that Kosovo was facing inflation of over 20 percent, and that the only "achievement" of the government was the increase in imports from Serbia.
As for the scandal related to the ambassador of Kosovo in Croatia, Martin Berishaj, Halimi said that it was unknown where the transferred 600,000 Euros had gone.
"The second scandal related to Serbia is another 600,000 Euros transferred from GEN Serbia, where it is unknown where they went. When we talk about the north, 83 million Euros were spent on electricity. There is no healthcare, not even beds in hospitals, doctors, nurses , anesthesiologists are going to Europe and the private sector. There is no salary increase for them, there are no medicines even for cancer patients," Halimi criticized.
Regarding foreign policy, she said that there had been no recognition in the past two years, no membership in international organizations, but only scandals.
"The list of omissions is much longer, there is no director in the police for a whole month, 72,000 Euros are lost per day in the energy sector, in the judiciary we have the disappearance of evidence, employment of family members, no new roads and schools, no passports, there are only empty words and films", Halimi emphasized.
