Haradinaj: The Kosovo government is stabbing citizens in the back

AAK President Ramush Haradinaj said that Albin Kurti's government was "stabbing Kosovo and the citizens in the back where it hurts the most", and that yesterday's events in the Assembly of Kosovo were proof that the situation could escalate at any moment.

Haradinaj stated on Facebook that Kurti's late reaction to decide to withdraw the Kosovo Police from the north had caused irreparable damage to Kosovo.

"The exposure of the secret coordination of the representative Albin Kurti with the enemies of the Kosovo state, for the overthrow of the most sacred category - freedom fighters, is a knife in the back. The knife in the back is also the violation of relations with the allies of Kosovo, the EU, and the US, which resulted in the exclusion of Kosovo from the operation "Defender 23", which complicated Kosovo's aspiration for membership in Euro-Atlantic structures. His withdrawal of police from the north, with an inexplicable delay and only after Kosovo was placed under EU and US sanctions, caused irreparable damage to the country and cannot be considered otherwise than as anti-state a policy that is also anti-national," Haradinaj pointed out.

He emphasized that Kosovo could not remain peaceful and that AAK would be uncompromising in defending Kosovo's interests.

"Yesterday's events in the Assembly of Kosovo and the violence that took place there are a warning that the situation can escalate, even in the Assembly of Kosovo, as well as outside it. Kosovo cannot remain calm at a time when the Government stabs us in the back where it hurts us the most, in the most sacred connection of Kosovo with NATO, America, and with the categories of freedom. We will be uncompromising and more determined than ever in defending the interests of the state and citizens, preserving our aspirations for membership in NATO, maintaining a friendship with our allies, America and the EU, and in defending the value of our freedom." Haradinaj added.
