The fight of MPs in the Assembly of Kosovo; Lushtaku and Bislimi started the fight
At today’s session of the Assembly of Kosovo, there was a physical confrontation between representatives of the ruling Self-Determination and PDK representatives.
As reported by the Pristina media, the fight took place during Prime Minister Kurti’s speech.
The incident started when PDK deputy Mergim Lushtaku approached Kurti and poured water on him.
At that moment, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi threw a bottle of water at Lushtaku, and then general pushing and punching began.
The President of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca asked the police to intervene.
The general uproar in the parliament session hall lasted ten minutes. Kurti was taken to safety by security.
The head of the parliamentary group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Besnik Tahiri, previously criticized the government for the way it managed the situation in the north of the country.
He asked Prime Minister Albin Kurti for an answer as to why he had not followed the advice of the US until now.
"Undoubtedly, yesterday was one of the most terrible days in the history of the governance of our country. That is the day when the government and this assembly were overwhelmed by fear and anger. Prime Minister, yesterday you made the decision to step down after four months of experimentation. After four months since you put Kosovo as the most sanctioned country. After four months of endangering the policemen. Come out and say why you mistreated the people and imposed sanctions. Your authority collapsed yesterday. You have to come out here and show why you said no to the US, you went to Bratislava and you made it."
