Haradinaj: Kurti is to blame for the fact that Kosovo is blamed for the situation and Serbia is a constructive partner in the eyes of the EU and the USA

The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said that he was very concerned about the fact that on that day, in the eyes of the European Union and the United States of America, Kosovo had turned from a victim to a culprit for the situation, while Serbia was a constructive partner, and the only culprit for this situation, as he said, was Albin Kurti.

He stated on Facebook that ignoring the American request to postpone the implementation of the decision on license plates had brought the situation to the brink of explosion and that the behavior and actions of Prime Minister Albin Kurti regarding the situation that had arisen in Kosovo lately were not only incomprehensible but also dangerous.

"We have come to a situation where we can endanger the lives of the citizens of Kosovo, as well as the policemen," Haradinaj said and added that the wrong course chosen by the prime minister caused great damage and had destroyed, as he stated, the extraordinary work that was done all those years on integration of Serbs to Kosovo institutions.

He pointed out that Kurti had managed to damage Kosovo's relations with both the USA and the EU; that he had managed to take the draft and attempt to reach a final agreement on recognition with Serbia off the table; that he had managed to put his populism and selfishness above the interests of Kosovo and to take the control of North from Kosovo and to bring back tensions that no one can predict the end of.

"Kurti managed to bring Kosovo to the brink of separating the north from the rest of the country. And in the end, Kurti managed to seriously damage the image of a democratic, multi-ethnic, responsible Kosovo that makes coordinated decisions with international partners, turning it from a factor that contributes to stability in the region into destabilizing element", Haradinaj says.

He concludes that the situation is as it is and that today Albin Kurti has only one path, and that is close and unconditional cooperation with partners, especially with the USA.

"And he must do that not for himself and his government, but for the country, whose security is more threatened today than ever before," he said.
