Hoti: Sorensen’s visit to Belgrade an important moment, normalization of Serbia-Kosovo relations is inevitable

Professor of International Relations at the University of Pristina, Afrim Hoti, told Kosovo Online that the visit of the EU mediator in dialogue, Peter Sorensen, to Belgrade came at an important moment due to the political crisis in both Serbia and Kosovo, and that the EU representative conveyed a clear message that normalization of relations is inevitable.

“Sorensen’s visit is very important, especially in these times of political crisis in both countries,” Hoti said.

He added that Sorensen first sent Pristina, and now Belgrade, a key message that normalization of relations is inevitable.

“The visit to Serbia shows that with Mr. Vucic, or with any possible change, the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia is inevitable. The same signal was sent to Kosovo, which, as soon as it forms new institutions, must begin taking concrete steps in that direction,” Hoti emphasized.
