Ibrahimi: It's not about license plates, Kurti doesn't want the agreement

Political analyst Ilir Ibrahimi believes that the request of the United States regarding license plates to Kosovo was very clear, and assesses that Prime Minister Albin Kurti is not willing to move forward with the agreement, Klan Kosova reports.

"It's not really about license plates. We have the license plates issue now, but tomorrow it could be something else because there are probably dozens of technical problems with Serbia that are expected to be solved by the general agreement. The request of the United States was clear – not to raise such simple technical things as barriers to dialogue. We don't even know the history of how Kosovo was founded, how it was formed, and how it got here, or we want to forget or have we embarked on a self-destructive course in relations with the US," Ibrahimi asked.

Ibrahimi noted that the postponement of Kosovo ministers' visit to the United States was a clear sign.

"The first signs appeared, and it can be called a rebuke. Only the officials of one political party were asked not to travel to the US. They were told they were in a crisis, so they should stay in Kosovo. It's not about license plates, it's about that Prime Minister Albin Kurti is not willing to move forward with the agreement," Ibrahimi said.
