Jovanovic: The West is not in favor of a real dialogue that satisfies both sides; they are tying Serbia's hands
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vladislav Jovanovic, believes that Western countries are not honest about the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, in a way that both sides are satisfied, Novosti reports.
"The West aims to bring to an end the intention to introduce the so-called Kosovo into the UN, NATO, and the EU, and with such a policy they are beginning to tie our hands and put our policy in a passive position towards theirs, which is active to the maximum. By such behavior, they show that they are not open to real dialogue and a solution that satisfies both parties, but they have fixed a goal and now they want to bring us to accept their goal. Stoltenberg was a polite listener and not a great promiser of fundamental changes. The KLA was the infantry of NATO. At that moment when the West recognized so-called Kosovo, they trampled on Resolution 1244, and they are still violating it now by keeping silent on the arming of Pristina," Jovanovic explains.
Jovanovic adds that Serbia must stick to Resolution 1244, which, despite the fact that many violate it, is actually a bone in the West's throat.
"They cannot take it out without our help. We should respond to their policy with the most offensive policy in the field of de-recognizing the fake state and raise the issue of Resolution 1244 before the Security Council, which the state has already announced,” Jovanovic said.
