Kosovo Police raided the Tax Administration office in North Mitrovica

Kosovo Police raided the Tax Administration office in North Mitrovica this morning, which operates under the system of the Republic of Serbia.

According to a Kosovo Online reporter, members of the Kosovo Police in plainclothes are present in the premises of the Tax Administration, along with one employee of the institution, while other staff have left the building.

Deputy Director of Kosovo Police for the North Region, Veton Elshani, confirmed to Kosovo Online that the police operation was underway and that a statement was being taken from one employee of the institution.

"This morning, we conducted an operation in a building located in the Bosniak Mahala area. We found employees working under the Republic of Serbia’s system within the Tax Administration. A team is there with the prosecutor taking a statement from one of the employees. We will know more details afterward," Elshani stated.

Currently, economic crime inspectors and EULEX officers are also on the scene.
