Kosovo Police without markings and with long guns on the streets in the center of North Mitrovica

Members of the Kosovo Police, without clearly visible markings on their uniforms and with automatic rifles, appeared on the streets of North Mitrovica on Tuesday evening.

A video appeared on social networks showing several armed members of the police, without clear identification numbers on their uniforms, with several vehicles, in the city center not far from the Monument to Princ Lazar.

The appearance of armed men in uniforms has disturbed the Serbs from North Mitrovica, who perceive the presence of the police on the streets in the evening hours as a new provocation of Pristina.

The reason for last night's police presence in North Mitrovica is unknown.
