Vulovic: Kosovo Police broke a Cyrillic sign on the municipal building of Zubin Potok

The President of the Provisional Authority of the Zubin Potok municipality, Srdjan Vulovic, told Kosovo Online that the police had broken a sign on the municipal building that was in Cyrillic script and pointed out that it was another message to the Serbs that the Pristina authorities did not want them in Kosovo.

"During the weekend, we do not protest in front of the municipality, we are there on Fridays until 3 p.m. and come back on Monday morning. During the weekend, the Kosovo Police broke a sign with an inscription in Cyrillic script at the entrance to the Zubin Potok municipality building. The sign was broken, torn from the wall, and it was located a few meters above the entrance," Vulovic says.

Also, above the entrance to the building, a part of the sign "Zubin Potok Municipality" was removed, so that only four more letters "lity" remained.

He pointed out that today, when the citizens had gathered, they had seen that the inscription had been broken and removed from the wall.

"It is a classic pressure on the Serbs, on the Cyrillic alphabet as our script. From the beginning of the protest, we reacted calmly, we tried not to cause any excesses. So there is no reason for them to do that," Vulovic says.

He states that the municipality of Zubin Potok is surrounded by police forces with a cordon and a fence, which is why he believes that no one else could approach the building.

"No one else could approach the municipal building. There are always five or six of their police officers standing in front of the entrance, so it's their doing," Vulovic is convinced.

He underlines that in Zubin Potok, since the occupation of the municipality, there has not been a single incident, so the Kosovo Police have not been provoked by anything.

"It's another proof of theirs that they don't want the Serbs there anymore. But we're here and we'll wait, we're not going anywhere from here," Vulovic said.

By the way, after the local elections, which were held without the participation of the Serbs, the police took down the Serbian flag from the municipal building.
