Shala: The police were in the north because of Kurti's marketing, not because of security

Asdren Shala, from the Social Democratic Party, told Dukagjini that the police had been in the north because of the political marketing of Albin Kurti, and not for the sake of securing that part of Kosovo, adding that Pristina, after the withdrawal of the police, would be obliged to accept the formation of the CSM.

"These are continuous efforts by the police, but they ultimately have a lesson - that we can never succeed without coordination with international factors. Moreover, this Government did not send the police there to do their job, those police went there because of the political marketing of Kurti, and not because of security in the north," Shala said.

Commenting on the withdrawal of another 25 percent of police units from municipal facilities, Shala said that "it is not known what is happening right now."

"We are dealing with the Government's attempt to create such scenes, to create a scenario where there could be injuries and death... The biggest cost for Kosovo is that after this withdrawal, it will be obliged to accept the final agreement and the formation of the CSM," Shala said

He assessed that this "scenario" of Kurti was just an attempt to avoid talking about this issue.
