Krasniqi with Hovenier: Early elections are the only solution; this government has lost the right path and credibility

PDK President Memli Krasniqi met with the US ambassador in Pristina, Jeffrey Hovenier, with whom he discussed the current political situation in Kosovo and the party's views on the issue.

Krasniqi stated on Facebook that the unilateral and uncoordinated actions of the Government of Kosovo were unacceptable for the PDK, which, as he stated, in addition to damaging progress and image, had also brought sanctions to Kosovo from international partners.

He told Hovenier that the citizens of Kosovo could not bear the consequences due to the political leadership and that early elections were the only solution.

"This is not the will of the citizens and what they voted for. I expressed the view to the American ambassador that Kosovo should not suffer punitive measures because of the political leadership of an individual. PDK assesses that this government has lost its way, as well as credibility, so early elections are the only alternative," Krasniqi said.

He thanked Hovenier for, as he stated, exceptional commitment to the interests of Kosovo and its citizens.
