Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in a statement to the British daily "Guardian", criticized US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, saying that his statement regarding the events in the north of Kosovo was naive, unfair, and wrong.
"I think it's not only unfair, wrong, and offensive, but at the same time it's very naive," Kurti said.
He also said that Blinken's statement and requests to stop police activities in the north had definitely not been helpful.
According to Reporteri, Kurti also indicated that he had spoken with the US Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, who asked that the mayors in the north move to other facilities or work from home and that he had refused.
"We cannot have 'Zoom' mayors; we are a democratic republic, which cannot surrender to fascist paramilitary formations. Yesterday was a very difficult day, fortunately, we did not lose a single life," Kurti concluded.
