Lekaj: Escobar's statement the hardest blow to Kosovo

The AAK MP Pal Lekaj assessed that the statement by the US Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, was the hardest blow Kosovo had received due to Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his opposition to the US, Gazeta Blic reports.

Lekaj, regarding Escobar's statement that the US was concerned because Kosovo was not treating it as a partner and was not working jointly for regional stability but undermined dialogue, to which the US was fully committed, stated that now the crucial question was what consequences this would produce.

"It's not about how much the Prime Minister or his government cares. The question is what will happen next with the state of Kosovo. Escobar's statement is the hardest blow Kosovo has received due to Albin Kurti and his opposition to the US. Albin Kurti has presented himself to the United States as another anti-American autocrat, jeopardizing Kosovo's position as a steadfast and secure ally of the US," Lekaj said.
